Dharna Against FDI in Retail Trade 

The Socialist Party will complete one year of its formation on 28 May 2012. To mark the occasion, the party has organised a day-long (11 am. to 4 pm.) dharna against FDI in retail sector at Jantar Mantar, Delhi. In view of the Socialist Party,  government' decision of allowing MNCs such as Walmart in the retail trade is detrimental for the traders and farmers of the country.
Party's national general secretary Dr. Prem Singh, Delhi state president Smt. Renu Gambhir, members of the national executive Anil Nauriya and Shiva Tripathi, HMS trade union leader Comrade Harbhajan Singh Sidhu, Justic Rajinder Sachar, veteran journalist Kuldeep Nayar, DUTA vice president Dr. Harish Khanna, Former MLA Dr. Rajkumar Jain and Ramgopal Sisodia, JNU Prof. Anand Kumar, Socialist Janata Party president Manju Mohan, Senior journalists Qurban Ali, Arun Tripathi, Dr and A. K. Arun, Nigam Parshad Rakesh Kumar, socialist leaders Vijay Pratap, Shyam Gambhir, comrade Baldev Sihag, Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Dr. Hemlata, Prof. Dwijendra Kalia, Satender Yadav, A.P. Khurana and several other activists/scholars will address the dharna.
