सोशलिस्ट पार्टी की मांग: चीन निर्मित वस्तुओं का आयात तुरंत बंद किया जाए।

चीन की सेना के भारत की सीमा में घुसपैठ के मद्देनजर सोशलिस्ट पार्टी की भारत सरकार से मांग है कि भारत में चीनी वस्तुओं का आयात तत्काल प्रभाव से बंद कर दिया जाए। भारत का बाजार बनारसी साडि़यों, होली की पिचकारियों, रक्षाबंधन की राखियों, बच्चों के खिलौनों, गरम कपड़ों, धार्मिक प्रतिमाओं से लेकर चीन निर्मित तरह-तरह के इलैक्ट्रानिक सामानों से पटा हुआ है। इसके चलते चीन की अर्थव्यवस्था को मजबूती मिलती है और देश के छोटे व मंझौले उद्यमियों और कारीगरों को नुकसान उठाना पड़ता है।
घुसपैठ के कृत्य पर सोशलिस्ट पार्टी फिलहाल सीधे सैन्य कार्रवाई का समर्थन नहीं करती और मसले का बराबरी के स्तर पर बातचीत से हल निकालने के पक्ष में है। लेकिन इस संगीन घटना पर ऐसी नीतियों की मांग करती है जिनसे भारत के छोटे और मंझौले उद्यमियों और कारीगरों के हितों को सुरक्षित किया जा सके। चीनी वस्तुओं के आयात पर प्रतिबंध और देष में निर्मित वस्तुओं के उत्पादन को प्रोत्साहन से एक तरफ भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था को दोहरा उठान मिलेगा, वहीं दूसरी तरफ चीन पर भारत समेत पड़ोसी देषों की सीमाओं का सम्मान करने का दबाव बनेगा।
सोशलिस्ट पार्टी ने पहले भी यह मांग की है कि भारत की सरकार ऐसे मुक्त व्यापार समझौते - दो-तरफा अथवा बहुतरफा - न करे जिनसे जरूरी दवाएं और बीज आदि भारत के नागरिकों की पहुंच से दूर होते हों और जिनसे अन्य क्षेत्रों के छोटे ओर मंझोले उद्यमियों के व्यापार का नुकसान होता हो। 
सोशलिस्ट पार्टी युद्ध के पक्ष में नहीं है, लेकिन 1962 के युद्ध में चीन द्वारा हथियाए गए भारत के विषाल भूभाग को वापस हासिल करने की मांग पर अडिग है। साथ ही, जैसा कि समाजवादी दिग्गज डाॅ. राममनोहर लोहिया की मान्यता थी, पार्टी तिब्बत की आजादी का पूर्ण समर्थन करती है।

Socialist Party (India) demands ending imports from China.

In wake of Chinese intrusion into 19kms of Indian territory, the Socialist Party  demands that the Government of India must stop all imports of Chinese goods into India. Banares Sarees, Holi 'pichkaaris, woolen clothes, religious statues, various kind of electronic goods, etc are some examples where our markets are flooded with Chinese products. We do not support direct military action at this stage and believe that he dispute should be resolved through bilateral negotiations. But we do support and demand policies which should protect our local markets of small and middle scale industries and local craft artisans across the country. Such a decision will strengthen our economic power. Banning imports from China and promoting domestically produced products will give double boost to our economy and put more pressure on China to respect international borders including India’s. 
However, Socialist Party firmly stands for the Indian land occupied by China in the war of 1962. Further, we also support independence of Tibet as desired by the late socialist stalwart Dr. Rammanohar Lohia.

  
Socialist Party (India) had earlier made a demand that India must not rush into signing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and other bi- and multi-lateral trade agreements that would jeopardize access to essential and affordable medicines, seeds and adversely impact other sectors of small and medium scale enterprises. 

The Socialist Party believes in sustainability at local level as envisaged by Mahatma Gandhi's Gram Swarajya model. Opening markets internationally is not providing equal level playing field to domestic players. We have seen how big industries (whether domestic or multinational) are given over due benefits and promotions to help protect their markets and domestic players are dealt with heavy hands making it all the more difficult for them to survive. 
In present context, it is in our interest to stop patronizing Chinese products and strengthen domestic production and markets.

अंतिम बादशाह बहादुरशाह जफर के अवशेष भारत लाए जाएं।

सोशलिस्ट पार्टी भारत सरकार से मांग करती है कि वह हिंदुस्तान के आखिरी बादशाह बहादुरशाह जफर के पार्थिव अवशेष रंगून से भारत लाए। इस बाबत पार्टी राष्ट्रपति को जल्दी ही एक विस्तृत ज्ञापन देगी। पार्टी ने फैसला किया है कि आगामी 11 मई को उसके कार्यकर्ता दिल्ली में इस मांग को लेकर जंतर-मंतर पर एक दिन का धरना देंगे। पार्टी का राष्ट्रीय अधिवेषन 17-18 मई 2013 को त्रिवेंद्रम में होने जा रहा है। अधिवेशन में पार्टी इस मांग को पूरा कराने के लिए देशव्यापी आंदोलन का ऐलान करेगी।
सोशलिस्ट पार्टी के प्रेरणास्रोत चिंतकों में एक डाॅ. राममनोहर लोहिया का कहना था कि नेताओं का अंतिम संस्कार जिस देश  में उनकी मृत्यु हो, उसी देश में कर देना चाहिए। सोशलिस्ट पार्टी विश्व भाईचारे के लिए लोहिया की इस मान्यता को स्वीकार करती है। लेकिन बहादुरशाह जफर का मामला अलग है। ब्रिटिश  साम्राज्यशाही द्वारा उन्हें जंजीरों में जकड़ कर तत्कालीन बर्मा की राजधानी रंगून ले जाया गया था। वहीं 7 नवंबर 1862 को उनका देहांत हुआ। देशभक्त और आला शायर बहादुरसहाह जफर ने बड़े दर्द के साथ कहा था:

‘‘दिन जिंदगी के खत्म हुए, शाम हो गई,
फैला के पांव सोएंगे कुंज-ए-मजार में।
कितना है बदनसीब जफर दफन के लिए,
दो गज जमीन भी न मिली कू-ए-यार में।

सोशलिस्ट जफर के अवशेष वापस लाने की मांग को सस्ता भावनात्मक मुद्दा नहीं बनाना चाहती। वे हमारे पहले स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के नेता और हिंदू-मुस्लिम एकता के प्रतीक हैं। लिहाजा, उनके अवशेष वापस लाना आजाद भारत की सरकार का फर्ज बनता है। साथ ही सभी हिंदुस्तानियों को इस मांग का समर्थन करना चाहिए ताकि सरकार पर दबाव बन सके। पार्टी वरिष्ठ पत्रकार सईद नकवी साहब का शुक्रिया करती है जो इस मुद्दे को काफी समय से उठाते आ रहे हैं।

Dear Sir

The Socialist Party would like to draw your kind attention towards a recent incidence of mixing politics with religion. The Gujrat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed a convention held at Haridwar on 26 April 2013 under the auspices of Patanjali Yogpeeth of Baba Ramdev. The speeches delivered at the convention by Shri Narendra Modi and Baba Ramdev were clear examples of using religion/religious sentiments for the political purpose. They made subtle political statements while praising each other. Baba Ramdev vehemently advocated Shri Narendra Modi as next PM of India on behalf of sant samaj gathered there in big number along with certain political elements. Shri Narendra Modi also used the occasion to pursue his political agenda.

When the nation is approaching the election year and a bizarre debate is going on for the prospective Prime Minister, holding such a convention is unwarranted and in total violation of the secular doctrine enshrined in the Constitution. Further, the social fabric will be affected if such practices continue.    

Therefore, the Socialist Party requests you to examine the intention behind holding this convention and the contents of the speeches made there by Shri Narendra Modi and Baba Ramdev. They should be debarred from contesting election after the inquiry.

निजीकरण को रद्द किए बगैर बिजली/पानी के बिल कम नहीं होंगे। - डा. प्रेम सिंह

 सोशलिस्ट पार्टी ने आज फिर शीला दीक्षित का पुतला जलाया।

सोशलिस्ट पार्टी ने शहीद सरदार भगत सिंह, राजगुरु और सुखदेव के बलिदान दिवस व डाॅ. राममनोहर लोहिया के जयंती दिवस के अवसर पर दिल्ली में बिजली और पानी की सेवाओं के निजीकरण के खिलाफ प्रतिरोध मार्च निकालने और मुख्यमंत्री शीला दीक्षित का पुतला जलाने के अनिष्चितकालीन अभियान की शुरूआत की थी। उस दिन सोशलिस्ट पार्टी के कार्यकर्ता  सोशलिस्ट पार्टी दिल्ली की अध्यक्ष रेणु गंभीर के नेतृत्व में पांडव नगर, मदर डेयरी, निर्माण विहार, मधुबन चैक होता हुआ लक्ष्मी नगर चैक पहुंचे और लक्ष्मी नगर चैक पर मौजूद जनसमूह के सामने शीला दीक्षित का पुतला फूंका।  
उसी अभियान के तहत सोशलिस्ट पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं ने आज पूर्वी दिल्ली में त्रिलोकपुरी के 12 ब्लाॅक से 15 ब्लाक तक प्रतिरोध मार्च निकाला और परचे बांटे। उसके बाद 15 ब्लाक के चैराहे पर जनसभा की। जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव डाॅ. प्रेम सिंह ने स्पष्ट किया कि जो लोग नवउदारवाद एवं निजीकरण को खत्म किए बगैर दिल्ली में बिजली/पानी के दाम कम करवाने की बात करते हैं, वे दरअसल जनता को गुमराह कर रहे हैं। ये लोग नवउदारवाद और कारपोरेट घरानों के समर्थक हैं। सोषलिस्ट पार्टी दिल्ली की जनता को बताना चाहती है कि निजीकरण के रहते, जो कि मौजूदा शीला दीक्षित सरकार की घोषित नीति है, बिजली/पानी के दाम आगे और बढेंगे। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि जनता द्वारा षासन का काम अपने हाथ में लेने की बात करना भी जनता को गुमराह करना है। सोशलिस्ट पार्टी का मानना है कि षासन करना सरकारों का काम है जो उसे देष के संविधान के मुताबिक करना चाहिए। नवउदारवाद के तहत सरकारें बनती जनता के वोट से हैं लेकिन षासन का काम कारपोरेट घरानों की निजी कंपनियों को सौंप देती हैं। सरकारों के इस संविधान विरोधी रवैये का विकल्प केवल सोषलिस्ट पार्टी दे सकती है। उन्होंने उपस्थित जनसमूह से अपील की कि वे सोषलिस्ट पार्टी के साथ जुड़ कर कारपोरेट राजनीति के खिलाफ समाजवादी राजनीति को मजबूत करें।
इस मौके पर पार्टी के वरिष्ठ सदस्य डाॅ. अष्वनी कुमार ने कहा कि बिजली/पानी नागरिकों की मूलभूत जरूरतें हैं जिन्हें सरकार ने निजी हाथों में सौंप चुकी है। जो थोड़ा-बहुत सरकार की भूमिका बची है वह भी वल्र्ड बैंक के डिक्टेट पर जल्दी ही खत्म हो जाएगी। उसके बाद कंपनियों की मनमानी लूट और तेज होगी। जनसभा को पार्टी के वरिष्ठ सदस्य शऊर खान, राखी गुप्ता और एसवाईएस के दिल्ली प्रदेश  के अध्यक्ष योगेश पासवान सहित कई लोगों ने संबोधित किया।
जनसभा के बाद राखी गुप्ता ने दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री शीला दीक्षित का पुतला दहन किया गया। प्रतिरोध मार्च और पुतला दहन का अगला कार्यक्रम चांदनी इलाके में होगा। यह क्रम आगे जारी रहेगा।

सोशलिस्ट पार्टी ने बिजली-पानी का निजीकरण खत्म करने का अभियान जारी।

सोषलिस्ट पार्टी ने षहीद सरदार भगत सिंह, राजगुरु और सुखदेव के बलिदान दिवस व डाॅ. राममनोहर लोहिया के जयंती दिवस के अवसर पर दिल्ली में बिजली और पानी की सेवाओं के निजीकरण के खिलाफ प्रतिरोध मार्च निकालने और मुख्यमंत्री षीला दीक्षित का पुतला जलाने के अनिष्चितकालीन अभियान की षुरूआत की थी। सोषलिस्ट पार्टी के कार्यकर्ता तभी हर हफ्ते षहर के किसी इलाके में परचा बांटते हुए प्रतिरोध मार्च निकालते हैं और षीला दीक्षित का पुतला फूंकते हैं।  
इस अभियान के तहत सोषलिस्ट पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं ने आज पुरानी दिल्ली इलाके में प्रतिरोध मार्च निकाला और षीला दीक्षित का पुतला फूंका। पार्टी कार्यकर्ता चावडी बाजार मैट्रो स्टेषन से परचा बांटते हुए हौज काजी, लाल कुआं, बल्ली मारान, गली सहतारा होते हुए षाहगंज चैक पहुंचे। वहां आयोजित नुक्कड़ सभा पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव डाॅ. प्रेम सिंह, पूर्व विधायक और राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी के सदस्य रामगोपाल सिसोदिया, दिल्ली प्रदेष के वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष मसूद खान, वरिष्ठ समाजवादी नेता ष्याम गंभीर, केदारनाथ, राखी गुप्ता, षऊर खान, हिरण्य हिमकर समेत कई नेताओं ने संबोधित किया।
रामगोपाल सिसोदिया ने कहा कि दिल्ली की जनता के सामने अब सोषलिस्ट पार्टी के रूप में एक सही विचाराधारात्मक विकल्प है। दिल्ली के निवासियों को कारपोरेट घरानों के धन से उन्हीं के हितों की राजनीति करने वाले दलों को ठुकरा देना चाहिए। वरिष्ठ समाजवादी नेता ने आगे कहा कि इस इलाके के सांसद कपिल सिब्बल बड़ी कंपनियों के बड़े वकील हैं। उनके लिए राजनीति और ज्यादा धन कमाने का जरिया भर है। उन्होंने इलाके के लोगों को आगाह किया कि कांग्रेस हो या भाजपा दोनों दल जनता के लिए नहीं, निजी कंपनियों के मुनाफे के लिए सरकार चलाते हैं। आप दिल्ली में सोषलिस्ट पार्टी के उम्मीदवारों को जिताएं जो बिजली, पानी, षिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य आदि सेवाओं से निजीकरण को पूरी तरह खत्म करेंगे। ष्याम गंभीर ने कहा कि समाजवादी व्यवस्था के तहत ही कमरतोड़ मंहगाई और बेतहाषा बेरोजगारी से छुटकारा मिलेगा। कांग्रेस केंद्र और दिल्ली में कंपनी राज चला रही है। भुगतना दिल्ली की जनता को पड़ रहा है। सोषलिस्ट पार्टी का यह अभियान दिल्ली वासियों को जागरूक बनाने के लिए है। वे खुद बिजली-पानी के निजीकरण के विरुद्ध सीधी पहल करें तो बिल अपने आप कम हो जाएंगे।
डाॅ. प्रेम सिंह ने कहा कि भाजपा सत्ता में आने पर बिजली-पानी के दाम 30 प्रतिषत कम करने का दावा कर रही है। सोषलिस्ट पार्टी का मुख्य विपक्षी दल से सीधा सवाल है कि क्या सत्ता में आने पर वह बिजली, पानी, षिक्षा और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं का निजीकरण खत्म कर देगी? डाॅ. सिंह ने आगे कहा कि सारी जिंदगी विदेषी धन से एनजीओ चलाने वाले अब राजनीति करने निकले हैं। उन्हें कारपोरेट घरानों का पूरा समर्थन है। लिहाजा, वे निजीकरण खत्म करने की बात नहीं करते। अगर बात करेंगे तो उन कंपनियों के मालिक खफा हो जाएंगे जिन्हें षीला दीक्षित सरकार ने बिजली-पानी की सेवाएं सौंपी हुई हैं। नवउदारवाद और कारपोरेट घरानों के समर्थक ये लोग निजीकरण को खत्म किए बगैर दिल्ली में बिजली/पानी के दाम कम करवाने की बात करके जनता को गुमराह कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि सोषलिस्ट पार्टी दिल्ली के नागरिकों को सचेत करना चाहती है कि निजीकरण के रहते बिजली/पानी के दाम आगे और बढेंगे।
हिरण्य हिमकर ने कहा कि  बिजली/पानी नागरिकों की मूलभूत जरूरतें हैं जिन्हें सरकार ने निजी हाथों में सौंप चुकी है। जो थोड़ा-बहुत सरकार की भूमिका बची है वह भी वल्र्ड बैंक के डिक्टेट पर जल्दी ही खत्म हो जाएगी। उसके बाद कंपनियों की मनमानी लूट और तेज होगी। जनसभा के बाद राखी गुप्ता और केदारनाथ ने दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री षीला दीक्षित का पुतला दहन किया गया। प्रतिरोध मार्च और पुतला दहन का अगला कार्यक्रम कड़कड़डूमा-आनंद विहार इलाके में होगा। यह क्रम आगे जारी रहेगा।

Formation of Bihar unit of the Socialist Party

A meeting of members of the Socialist Party held in Patna on 10-11 March 2013 to form the Bihar unit of the Socialist Party. After due deliberations, Dr. Sushil Kumar was nominated as the president, Ranjeet Mandal as the senior vice president, Dr. Bhanu Udayan as the general secretary and Ashok Kumar Thakur as the media in charge of Bihar state. Ms. Ayasha Khan, Ms. Jyoti Singh, Ms. Stela Lotika, Prabhakar, Dr. Uma Shankar Bharti, Ganesh Gutt Singh, Jeevan Chaudhary, Yogendra Sharma, Dr. Subodh Kumar, Devanand and Dr. Manikant Singh were nominated as the members of the state executive committee. The team will be extended further in the next 6 months. Before, a 24 member Bihar State Committee used to carry the party work in the state.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Prem Singh, national general secretary, as chief guest and chaired by national executive member Ranjeet Mandal. Gautam Pritam, president, Socialist Yuvjan Sabha (SYS), Bihar, Rakesh Kumar Dubey, convener, SYS Delhi University were also present.

Dr. Prem Singh and newly elected leaders addressed a press conference on 11 March and apprised the media about the new team and policies of the party. Dr. Prem Singh put forth Socialist Party’s assessment on the claims made by the present JD(U)-BJP coalition government about the development and the good governance (sushasan) in Bihar. He said that there is an unprecedented boom in the real state and liquor business in Bihar under the rule of the present government. The Nitish Kumar government preaches this boom as the development of Bihar. But the Socialist Party calls it the source of sub-culture and corruption spreading all over Bihar. Dr. Singh apprised the press persons that ‘sushasan’ of Nitish Kumar has left far behind the ‘jungle raj’ of Lalu Prasad Yadav. People are not safe in Bihar. There are cases of gang rape, murder and day-light dacoity almost every day.

Dr. Singh said that Nitish Kumar will be remembered as a leader who facilitated the communal forces to make their deep roots in the secular and socialist soil of Bihar. His opposition to Narendra Modi is merely a political gimmick while he enjoys the power with the BJP. In fact, Nitish and Modi are two faces of a same coin - Modi openly threats muslims; Nitish openly deceives them.

His policies are no different from the neo-liberal policies of the Congress and the BJP which make rich richer and exclude the hard working toiling masses. The labour strength of Bihar has changed the economic fate of several states in India over the years. But Nitish Kumar is busy playing the ‘special status’ card. He needs more money from the centre to spend that on the bureaucracy, on which he depends; on his image building, party setup and elections; and to help the builders, who reciprocate his generosity. He is not at all worried about the people of Bihar who migrate in search of ‘roji-roti’ and education as it was in the earlier regime.

Dr. Singh emphasized that the path of development of Bihar goes through its enormous work force, fertile land and agro based and other small scale industries. He made an unrest appeal to all genuine socialists of Bihar to join the Socialist Party who take inspiration from the thoughts of JP, Lohia, Archarya Narendra Dev, Yusuf Meharally, Achyut Patwardhan, Madhu Limye, Kishan Patnaik and other socialist stalwarts. 

Dr. Sushil Kumar expressed full support to the agitation and demands of the contractual teachers and condemned the high handedness of the government. He made it clear that the Socialist Party is opposed to the contractual system in the appointments of teachers and privatization of education in any form. The party stands for ‘free, equal and quality education for all from KG to PG’. He made the demand for immediate implementation of the report on Common School System prepared by Prof. Anil Sadgopal and Prof. Muchkund Dubey.

Dr. Bhanu Udayan raised the issues about health services which are in a bad shape, particularly in rural and sub-urban Bihar. It is the duty of an elected government to provide proper health facilities to its citizens. He alleged that poor people are bound to die due to lack of minimum health facilities. He said that sail of spurious drugs and black marketing of medicines is prevalent on a large scale in Bihar. This makes the patients more vulnerable.

Ranjeet Mandal spoke about the vulnerable condition of farmers and agriculture in the state. The contribution of agriculture in the economy has been reduced due to negative growth rate. Even basic needs of farmers are not met and they are forced to abandon the occupation. He demanded that proper arrangements should be made for irrigation, seeds, manure, electricity etc. and special thrust and encouragement should be given to the agro-based industries to make agriculture a viable occupation. He further suggested that a public facility map should be prepared by the village panchayats so that no encroachment would be made on public utility lands like streets, roads, ponds, grazing grounds, schools, health centers etc.

Gautam Pritam, announced that the SYS will open its students’ wings in all Bihar colleges and universities very soon. SYS will fight decisively the neo-liberal onslaught on the education system. Ashok Kumar Thakur expressed  thanks to the media persons came to cover the press conference.

         सोशलिस्ट पार्टी की राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी की बैठक आज लखनऊ में गोमती होटल में संपन्न हुई। सोशलिस्ट पार्टी उत्तर प्रदेश के अध्यक्ष गिरीश पांडे ने पूरे देश से आए राष्ट्रीय पदाधिकारियों और राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी सदस्यों का स्वागत किया। अपने उद्बोधन में पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष भाई वैद्य ने कहा कि देश के किसान, मजदूर, आदिवासी, कारीगर, छोटे व्यापारी, नौजवान और सभी वंचित तबके नवउदारवादी नीतियों के चलते तबाह होते जा रहे हैं। सोशलिस्ट पार्टी देश में अकेली ऐसी पार्टी है जो देश की विशाल मेहनतकश आबादी के हित में नवउदारवादी नीतियों का पूरी तरह से विरोध करती है। पार्टी भारत के संविधान और समाजवादी विचारधारा पर आधारित वैकल्पिक आर्थिक नीतियों की वकालत करती है। राष्ट्रीय महासचिव डाॅ. प्रेम सिंह ने कहा कि दो साल पहले सोशलिस्ट पार्टी की पुनस्र्थापना हैदराबाद में इसीलिए की गई थी कि नवउदारवादी-नवसाम्राज्यवादी शक्तियों को मुकममल चुनौती दी जाए और उन्हें निर्णायक रूप से परास्त किया जाए।

        कार्यकारिणी की बैठक में यह प्रस्ताव पारित किया गया कि सोशलिस्ट पार्टी जस्टिस राजेन्द्र सच्चर और वरिष्ठ पत्रकार कुलदीप नैय्यर से अपील करेगी कि वे देश के अन्य गणमान्य लोगों के साथ मिलकर देश को नवउदारवादी हमले से बचाने के लिए राजनीतिक पहल करें। ये महानुभाव कांग्रेस, भाजपा और उनके साथ जुटे दलों से अलग नवउदारवादी विरोधी राजनीतिक पार्टियों, मसलन, सी.पी.आई. (एम.एल.), समाजवादी जनपरिषद, भाकपा, मकपा, लोकतांत्रिक समाजवादी पार्टी, सोशलिस्ट पार्टी (लोहिया) तथा अन्य सहमना संगठनों और व्यक्तियों को एकजुट करने की पहल करें ताकि अगले आम चुनाव में एक सशक्त नवउदारवाद विरोधी मोर्चा बनाया जा सके।

       पार्टी के आर्थिक प्रस्ताव में कहा गया कि सोशलिस्ट पार्टी, विश्व बैंक, आई.एम.एफ., विश्व व्यापार संगठन और बहुराष्ट्रीय कंपनियों द्वारा पूंजीपतियों और अमीर तबको के हित के लिए देश के संसाधनों को लूटने वाली नवउदारवादियों आर्थिक नीतियों के स्थान पर गांधीवादी-समाजवादी विकास के माॅडल पर आधारित विकेन्द्रित और आत्मनिर्भर अर्थव्यवस्था की वकालत करती है। बड़ी पूॅजी और बड़ी टेक्नालाॅजी पर आधारित औद्योगिकरण की जगह कृषि आधारित उद्योग, लघु उद्योग और स्वरोजगार को बढ़ावा देकर ही समता और संपन्नता का लक्ष्य हासिल किया जा सकता है। प्रस्ताव में कहा गया कि वित्तमंत्री की महिला बैंक स्थापित करने की घोषणा गुमराह करने वाली है। केवल एक हजार करोड़ पूंजी से शुरू होने वाला यह नया बैंक देश की करोड़ों महिलाओं की जरूरत पूरी नहीं कर सकता। महिलाओं

के सशक्ततिकरण के लिए यह जरूरी है कि उन्हें अपना काम/व्यापार करने के लिए मौजूदा बैंक शाखाओं से ऋण देने की उचित व्यवस्था की जाये। एक अन्य प्रस्ताव में मांग की गई कि फौज में जवानों के साथ अफसरों का बर्ताव सम्मानजनक हो। कुछ महीने पहले लद्दाख में अनुशासन भंग की घटना पर 168 जवानों तथा अफसरों का कोर्ट मार्शल करने का रक्षामंत्री का फैसला अधूरा है। उसमें केवल जवानों को ही टारगेट किया गया है। यह चिन्ता की बात है कि जवानों में खुदकशी के मामले बढ़ रहे हैं। विशेषज्ञों का कहना है ऐसा इसलिए हो रहा है क्योंकि वरिष्ठ अफसर जवानों के साथ आमतौर पर अपमानजनक बर्ताव करते हैं। प्रशिक्षित जवानों को अफसरों का अर्दली बनाकर उनसे घरेलू नौकर जैसा काम लिया जाता है और वे बेगार करने पर मजबूर होते हैं।  पाटी्र की मांग है कि जवानों को अफसरों का निजी सहायक बनाने की उपनिवेशवादी परम्परा खत्म की जानी चाहिए ताकि जवान भी अफसरों की तरह सम्मानपूर्ण जीवन बिता सकें। प्रस्ताव में कुछ महीने पहले सीमा पर पाकिस्तानी सेना द्वारा भारतीय जवानों का सिर काटने, अंग-भंग करने की खौफनाक वारदात और भारत सरकार के उदासीन रैवये की निन्दा की गई। पार्टी के पार्लियामेंटरी बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष पन्नाला सुराना ने आह्वान किया कि त्रिवेंद्रम (केरल) में 17-18 मइ्र 2013 को होने वाले दूसरे राष्ट्रीय अधिवेशन में पूरे देश से ज्यादा से ज्यादा प्रतिनिधि पहुंचें।

       इस मौके पर पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष संदीप पाण्डेय ने उत्तर प्रदेश की सरकार पर आरोप लगाया कि वह किसानों, मजदूरों, बेरोजगारों, छोटे दुकानदरों और फर्जी मामलों में फंसाये गये मुस्लिम नौजवानों के मामलों में तालमटोल का रैवया अपनाती है। उन्होंनें कहा कि सोशलिस्ट पार्टी द्वारा असंगठित क्षेत्र के मजदूरों के लिये की गई 440 रूपये की न्यूनतम मजदूरी की मांग प्रदेश सरकार ने आश्वासन देने के बावजूद अभी तक नहीं मानी है। प्रदेश सरकार ने सोशलिट पार्टी से किया गया किसान आयोग के गठन का वादा भी पूरा नहीं किया है। संसद में समाजवादी पार्टी के अध्यक्ष मुलायम सिंह यादव ने बयान दिया है कि उन्होंनें फर्जी मामलों में फंसाये गये 400 मुस्लिम नौजवानों को रिहा किया है। सोशलिस्ट पार्टी मुलायम सिंह यादव से पूछना चाहती है कि वे किसी एक ऐसे नौजवान का नाम बताये जो रिहा किया गया हो।

         बैठक में दिवंगत समाजवादी साथियों श्री सहदेव सिंह, प्रो. विनोद प्रसाद सिंह,    श्री किशोर पवार, श्री अजय कुमार, महाशय देवराज, डाॅ. मेहरचंद भुमला और भानुप्रसाद शर्मा को श्रद्धांजलि दी गई।

To oppose the neo-liberal onslaught on the Indian Constitution, society and culture, the socialist Party Uttar Pradesh organised a grand dharna and demonstration at ‘dharna sthal’ in Lucknow today. National leaders from 11 states, including Bhai Vaidya, National President, Panna Lal Surana, Chairman, Parliamentary Board, Dr. Prem Singh, National General Secretary Sandeep Pnadey, National Vice President, Dr. Sanmathnath Ghosh, member National Executive participated in the program. Party leaders and members from 15 districts of UP gathered on the occasion in a large number. Justice Rajinder Sachar addressed the gathering as the chief guest. Girish Pandey, President, U.P. Socialist Party, presided over and Onkar Singh, National General Secretary, Niraj Singh National Secretary, Socialist Yuvajan Sabha conducted the proceedings. Leaders from like-minded political parties also addressed the meeting. Dinkar kapur from All India Peoples Front, Tahira Hassan from C.P.I. (ML), K. K. Dixit from Viklang Party, I.D. Khajooria from Internationalist Democratic Party, Ram Kishore from Forward Block, Anmol from Aam Adami Party and advocate Mohammad Shoaib from Rihai Manch addressed the meeting and made an appeal to form an alternative front of the democratic, left and genuine secular parties for the coming General Election 2014.

Justice Sachar, speaking on the occasion, emphatically high light the plight of the muslim youths who are detained in jails on fabricated cases. He told the audience that he met the CM of UP in the morning in order to press the long pending demand of the Socialist Party for the release of such persons. Bhai Vaidya, President, argued that the mainstream politics of the country has surrendered before the neo-liberal dictate of WB, IMF, WTO, MNCs and corporate houses which must be replaced by the alternative politics based on the socialist doctrine and ideals of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, JP, Acharya Narendra Dev and other socialist stalwarts. Dr. Prem Singh said that the present day politics has abandoned the three basic guiding values pf the Constitution i.e. socialism, secularism and democracy. Socialist party is formed and committed to adhere to these values.    

The first list of the following candidates of the Socialist Party was released on this occasion by Panna Lal Surana. Girish Kumar Pandey (Rae Bareli), Onkar Singh (Shrawasti), Anil Mishra (Unnao), Shanker Singh (Kanpur), Harinam (Mishrikh), China Devi (Ballia), Chandrashekhar Azad (Gaziabad), Chaudhary Nekpal Yadav (Aonla), Gangesh Gupta (Amethi). Dinesh Singh (Faizabad) will contest as a Lok Rajniti Manch, supported by the Socialist Party.

सोशलिस्ट पार्टी ने आज शहीद सरदार भगत सिंह, राजगुरु और सुखदेव के बलिदान दिवस व  डॉक्टर राममनोहर लोहिया के जयंती दिवस के अवसर पर दिल्ली में बिजली और पानी की सेवाओं के निजीकरण के खिलाफ प्रतिरोध मार्च निकालने और मुख्यमंत्री शीला दीक्षित का पुतला जलाने के अभियान की शुरूआत की। आज सोशलिस्ट पार्टी के कार्यकर्ता बड़ी संख्या में पटपड़गंज स्थित पार्टी कार्यालय पर एकत्रित हुए। शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि देने के बाद पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव डॉक्टर प्रेम सिंह ने प्रतिरोध मार्च को पार्टी का झंडा दिखा कर रवाना किया। इस मौके पर उन्होंने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार संविधान को ताक पर रख कर बिजली और पानी का निजीकरण करती जा रही है। बिजली/पानी के बिल आसमान छू रहे हैं। सरकार दिल्ली के निवासियों को लूट कर निजी कंपनियों की जेबें भर रही है। बिजली/पानी की अत्यंत मंहगी दरों के बावजूद सुविधाएं पहले से भी घटिया हो गई हैं। सोशलिस्ट पार्टी का मानना है कि जब तक किसी भी रूप में निजीकरण/पीपीपी रहेगा बिजली/पानी के बिल कम नहीं हो सकते। लिहाजा, पार्टी की मांग है कि बिजली/पानी का किसी भी रूप में किया गया निजीकरण तुरंत रद्द किया जाए। डॉक्टर सिंह ने कहा कि देश के शहीदों ने अपनी जान की कुर्बानी देश को कारपोरेट घरानों को सौंपने के लिए नहीं दी थी। सोशलिस्ट पार्टी देश में अकेली राजनीतिक पार्टी है जो निजीकरण का आमूल और मुकम्मल विरोध करती है।
प्रतिरोध मार्च सोशलिस्ट पार्टी दिल्ली की अध्यक्ष रेणु गंभीर के नेतृत्व में पांडव नगर, मदर डेयरी, निर्माण विहार, मधुबन चैक होता हुआ लक्ष्मी नगर चौक पहुंचा। मार्च के दौरान लोगों को जागरूक करने के लिए परचों का वितरण किया गया। लक्ष्मी नगर चौक पर पार्टी की राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी के सदस्य और पूर्व विधायक रामगोपाल सिसोदिया, वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष मसूद अली खान, वरिष्ठ समाजवादी नेता श्याम गंभीर, सोशलिस्ट युवजन सभा (एसवाईएस) के संयोजक राकेश कुमार दूबे, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता राखी गुप्ता, आहंग नाट्य संस्था के संयोजक हिरण्य हिमकर ने संबोधित किया। लक्ष्मी नगर चौक पर मौजूद जनसमूह के सामने रेणु गंभीर, सुनीता और राखी गुप्ता ने शीला दीक्षित के पुतले को आग लगाई। 
सोशलिस्ट पार्टी का यह प्रतिरोध और पुतला दहन अभियान दिल्ली के अलग-अलग इलाकों में जारी रहेगा। अगर दिल्ली सरकार बिजली और पानी का निजीकरण रद्द नहीं करती है तो सोशलिस्ट पार्टी के कार्यकर्ता दिल्ली विधानसभा की तरफ कूच करेंगे और धरना देंगे।
