PRESS RELEASE

The Prime Minister of India
Government of India
New Delhi
Dear Prime Minister,
We urge you to declare Kerala Floods, that you have just surveyed, as a 'National Disaster'.
Even as the Kerala state is reeling under distress of floods of unprecedented magnitude, the human loss occurring due to being stranded, and lack of vehicle mobility of provisions and medicines to those in relief campus due to landslides, is most likely to cause another catastrophe that must not happen, given that entire country stands with Kerala.
Help should have reached before nation got the chilling distress calls from residents of Kerala.
Declaring as 'National Disaster' will only rush thru the aid from all quarters national and international and help save lives and property.
We appreciate gesture of Government of Telangana of sending nutritional aid and Rs.20 crs aid to Kerala, even though the aid is meagre before the funds squandered in the name of dawat-e-iftars; nosering, moustache, necklace gifts to temples; chadar&nazrana gift to ajmer dargah; batukamma sarees; christmas feast; etc. etc.
We acknowledge the heroic rise to call of duty by our army/navy/Disaster Team who are rescuing from ground/skies and also acknowledge gratefully the bravery by local fishermen helping thru their boats in waters.
Every helping hand is being saluted.
Dr Lubna Sarwath,General Secretary & Spokes Person,
Bandari Babu Rao, President,
Gopal Patangay, Vice-President & Treasurer,
